A quiet country stay in the heart of the Breede River Valley.

Winterberg Mountain Inn sits halfway between Ceres and Wolseley, at the foot of Michell’s Pass and just a short drive from the mountain villages and wine farms of the Witzenberg Valley.

With space for up to 24 guests, the inn is a comfortable base for exploring the valley – or simply for slowing down and doing very little at all.

Our in-house Harvest Table Bistro makes staying here particularly easy. Come for dinner, linger over breakfast, and let somebody else worry about the cooking.

The inn is situated on the R43 between Worcester and Ceres, just beyond the White Bridge over the Breede River.

We’re wonderfully placed for exploring the surrounding countryside, with wedding venues like Olive Rock, Die Boord, Bosjes, Country Sjiek and Waverley Hills closeby.

Our recently refurbished main building rooms accommodates up to six guests, while four garden units provide additional accommodation around the swimming pool.

The rooms are comfortable rather than fussy – air-conditioned, well equipped and designed for a good night’s sleep. Some rooms have their own private entrances and the larger rooms offer plenty of space for families or groups travelling together.

It’s the sort of place where you can arrive, put your bags down and breathe.

Because of our picturesque mountain setting, cellphone reception is limited. Wi-Fi is available when you need to connect, but we won’t be offended if you decide not to.
